TEN TWO-LINE POEMS
1001
if I buy new mittens on line
(will I ever have to go outside)
1002
the hardest thing in life
(is figuring out a brain)
1003
without souls
(bodies float like belly-up fish)
1004
even a flimsy clock
(imagines itself going on 4ever)
1005
either way that’s exactly what I meant
(politicians are balloonists)
1006
a fishtank of claws
(bumping in2 each other)
1007
tombstone wind
(always leaves a few skulls behind)
1008
pinballing underneath florescent lights
(a moth swings toward another web)
1009
you must give everything away
( )
1010
my grandfather was always right
(it’s too late to run when you hear radiation and keep it in your pants)
